Dennis Hopper (1936-2010) turned out to be a major character in my book Rebels in Paradise: The Los Angeles Art Scene and the 1960s, so major that the Museo Picasso Málaga asked me to write about him for its 2013 exhibition of his photographs On The Road. https://www.museopicassomalaga.org/en/press/dennis-hopper-on-the-road
